A Pop of Color in SoHo, New York

Description

In the heart of SoHo, between the monumental scale of New York City and the vibrant identity of one of its most iconic neighbourhoods, the Trena Chair finds a setting where colour makes all the difference.

In 2026, Ezpeleta arrived at Piccolo Morini in SoHo through its partnership with distributor Stop Spot LLC, an Ezpeleta client since February of the same year. This international project brought Trena from Ezpeleta’s warehouse in Portugal all the way to New York, where it now takes its place on the terrace of this Italian restaurant, opened in July.

Here, the Trena Chair takes centre stage. Chosen in Garnet, its deep red tone creates an immediate connection with Piccolo Morini’s visual identity. The chairs extend the restaurant’s character outdoors, creating a natural dialogue between architecture, furniture and the surrounding urban landscape.

It is in contrast with the city that Trena Chair  makes its strongest statement.

Against New York’s imposing buildings, grey façades and unmistakable verticality, the terrace appears almost as a burst of colour within the urban landscape. The presence of garnet across the outdoor space, creates a striking visual rhythm at street level, bringing warmth and a more human scale to a setting dominated by concrete, glass and the fast pace of the city.

And there could hardly be a more fitting setting than SoHo. A neighbourhood where architecture, fashion, art, design and gastronomy coexist, and where the identity of each space naturally extends onto the street. In this context, furniture becomes more than a functional element: it becomes part of the image, character and experience of a place.

At Piccolo Morini, the Trena Chair plays precisely this role. Its presence goes beyond simply surrounding the tables or providing a place to sit. It creates rhythm, gives the terrace character and reinforces the restaurant’s visual identity, making it stand out within the urban landscape around it.

In the city that never sleeps, Trena doesn’t go unnoticed.
