Grupo Ezpeleta, History

Ezpeleta has been founded in 1935 by Mr. Joaquim Ezpeleta in Oñati(Guipúzca), where the activity started as a rain umbrella factory.

Ezpeleta is, nowadays, a group of companies that combines the experience of more than 75 years of history with the desire of innovation from the young generation.

In 1954, the second generation of the family moved into Vigo in order to launch new production facilities and to widen the market. Since then, the company increased continuously, not only in terms of facilities, but also in terms of its range of products. This was the reason that's why, in 1988, Ezpeleta started to build the factory that, nowadays, is the biggest of the group, located in Vila Nova de Cerveira (Portugal).

The current range of products are constituted by, besides umbrellas, other products, also for outdoor using, as parasols, bases for parasols, cushions and furniture for outdoor, all for Retail, Hostels and Marketing sectors. Ezpeleta is a current provider for the most important brands of the sectors mentioned.

Ezpeleta commercializes its products in a large number of countries through its own commercials networks and through companies specialized in distribution, being members of the company or partners. The main markets are Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Mexico.
